Foosball Week 13

I'm a few days behind, blaming it on the holidays;)

All of my college teams have finished up there regular season and are either in the post season or waiting to hear about a bowl game. We'll start from the top.

Hawks - 10-2, great season. If they can get themselves ahead of Penn State they are most likely in the Fiesta Bowl (Boise State). If not, Capital One (Mississippi).
ISU - 6-6, better season than I anticipated. Advocare V100 Independence Bowl (TBD).
Minnesota - 6-6, Insight.com Bowl (Oklahoma)
South Dakota State - 8-4. Made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs and blew a 21 point lead to Montana. Bummer!
St. Thomas - 9-1, Tommies have made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs and are off to Oregon (Linfield) this weekend. Good Luck Coach Kyle!

City High = State Champs!!!!! Congrats!
Eden Prairie - Lost in the Championship to Cretin. Good luck next year.

Vikes host Da Bears today. 9-1, division lead by 2 games. Go get em!

Hawks 9-2, at home against the Gophers
ISU 6-5, bowl eligible! at Mizzou
Minnesota - 6-5, bowl eligible, in IC

Gophers - Jackrabbits

This past weekend Coach Tim and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits took on the Minnesota Gophers.

Gophers pulled this one out but keep in mind SDSU is I-AA. Final score was 16-13, one of the ugliest games I have seen... Coach Tim was depressed but they played pretty well for being over-matched.

The other thing I was looking forward to was the new Gopher stadium. It's pretty nice, however they do have a few issues to work through...

This was at half time, good luck getting a beverage. They also did not have any cast registers, all they had were calculators and a money drawer...

Tim wasn't the only person I wanted to see on Saturday:)

Foosball Week 10

The Hawks couldn't get it done last week, at home, against Northwestern. The Wildcats own us! Perfect season is gone and a massive game this week. If the Hawks can pull off a victory over the Buckeyes and Gophers they will still be heading to the Rose Bowl. Good luck!

Stanzi goes out with a sprained ankle and he had surgery this week. Why would he have surgery on a sprained ankle? Any thoughts?

Hawks 9-1, in Columbus
ISU 5-5, Colorado at home, win = bowl eligible
Minnesota - 5-5, against SDSU, a win = bowl eligible
SDSU - 7-2, need to win out to guarantee a playoff spot, big game against the Gophers.
St. Thomas - 8-1, 1 cake game left, make it happen

City High - 12-0, CR Xavier, rematch from last year which the Little Hawks dropped
Eastview - 7-3, Cretin Durham Hall is next (check out notable alumni)
Eden Prairie - 10-0, Wayzata
Lakeville - 9-2, Mounds View

CR Kennedy - Won there first round at state, play the #1 team in the state today. Good luck!

Vikes 7-1, the Lions at home

Foosball Week 9

After surviving heart attack #9 the Hawks are still undefeated... 9-0, unreal. We will probably never see this again, I'm going to just keep going with the flow...

The Hawks are taking a beating from the haters. You can't really blame them, Hawks haven't made anything look pretty this year. Need a couple of good beatings to get people to believe.

Hawks 9-0, Northwestern at home, never an easy game for the Hawks
ISU 5-4, Oklahoma State this week, a win may = big 12 title game
Minnesota - 5-4, Illinois at home, a win = bowl eligible

Foosball Week 7

Vikes are undefeated, Hawks are undefeated, what is going on!!!!!!!!! There is plenty of season left to play but the N & M household is pretty pumped!

Some people have way too much time on there hands... and a bad taste in music

Hawks - 7-0, yet another big game at Michigan State. First time the hawks could be 8-0.
ISU - 4-3, at Nebraska, good luck
Gophers - 4-3, at Ohio State, good luck
SDSU - 5-1, UNI at home
St. Thomas - 5-1, at Carleton

CR Kennedy - Lost in the semis of the MVC conference tourney, state is around the corner

Vikes - 6-0, at the Steelers this week, by far the toughest match up of the year. Apparently the cheer is SKOL Vikings, I don't like that.

Foosball Week 6

"Now, Iowa could lose their next two games and make their Penn State victory moot. But today, at the halfway point, no moment looms larger than the instant in which Adrian Clayborn decided that Iowa would contend for the Big Ten title too" - Random blogger website, this gets me a little excited:)

Best Time of the Year

Football season is upon us. The greatest 6 months of the year (minus the weather). Quality couch time Thursday through Monday. No wonder the winter weight adds 10 pounds to the mid section:)

The past few years I've had quite the workout following all of teams. Three buddies coaching all over the place, Iowa, the Vikes, and unfortunately the better half has brought the Gophers and Iowa State into the mix. I've got to follow the Alma Mater in City High, and I've got a cousin playing at Cedar Rapids Kennedy. Molly is working for Lakeville, Megs went to Eastview. Uncle Keith is coaching in Elk River and the Dr. and I have to support the juggernaut that is Eden Prairie as it was our first home in Minnesota. Whew!

Coach Mikey is on to his 4th season at Lone Tree. Took them to the playoffs for the first time last year and is off to a decent start this year, won the opener but dropped one last week. Miaggi's family has started a dynasty at Solon so of course I have to check in on them as well. The guy really impresses me, I coached some junior high baseball with him in college and the kid would pull the greatest speeches of all time out of you know where all the time. Phenomenal!

Coach Timmy played at South Dakota, grad assist. at Wayne State, had a short tenure at Simpson College and has now joined the staff at South Dakota State. The boy likes to get around. His squad opens up this weekend. SDSU plays the Gophers in November, anyone interested in going?

Coach Kyle played at Iowa, ROOMIE!, grad assist at St. Cloud State and is now at St. Thomas. Ran over Macalester in the opener, Coach says they are looking good for this year. Going to catch a game Sept 19 if anyone is interested?!?

The Hawks opened up with UNI. They won, that's all I'm going to talk about. They play ISU this week, big rivalry!! Nate VS Megan. Who cleans the bathroom for the next year?!? Homecoming and Minnesota game?!?

Gophers eeked one out against Syracuse.
City High 2-0
Lakeville 1-0
Eastview 0-1
Elk River 0-1
Eden Prairie 1-0
CR Kennedy 1-1 (we're more focused on the volleyball)

Don't worry, I'll be updating you weekly:)
