DIY Entry Organization

The entryway that we use most often is in the back of the house. This is the door that leads to the garage, and it in the kitchen. So needless to say, junk can pile up here easily. When we first moved in, we created a door especially for our keys, sunglasses, garage door openers, wallets, mittens, etc. So this really helped cut back on most of the junk on the counter. But, there was really not space for mail. So, our kitchen counter ended up looking like this most of the time:



Also, there was a only a hook and a half to hang our coats and bags:



This is what I mean by the half, can you see that its broken.


Enter a few power tools, some wood, cork tiles, and a few new hooks:


(also - I am just posing here. Lame, I know... but I had already finished before we thought to get any pictures. You can tell I am posing, because the pink took belt and the safety glasses are no where in sight)

A little white paint, and viola! A new place for organization!
