Googled

I splurged on myself and purchased the Google phone, the Nexus One, a few months back. Probably the best thing ever. It has the Android interface which I think is great, a very nice upgrade from Windows Mobile. I would highly recommend this one to anyone.

It has built in navigation which uses Google maps. Syncs very nicely up to my gmail and work account. Good call clarity and the WiFi is blazing!

I am not really in sync with the iPhone apps but this guy has a pretty good selection. My current favorite being the Chuck Norris Joke of the Day. Meg's favorite app is the Air Horn which I kindly remind her of every Saturday morning:) I would recommend WordUp!, Gesture Search, and the Google Sky Map. DO IT!

Speaking of Google

So a few years ago I was introduced to a game on Google...and not a card game or anything like that, it is actually using the Google search function. What you do it take 2 words and type them into the search. These can be any 2 English words. The goal of the game is to get as few hits as possible. It sounds stupid, and like it would be easy, but it is addicting and hard.

Example, I used the words "Spigot" and "Starfish"

And I got nearly 5,000 hits. A few years ago, before blogs were big, you could get 10 hits back... but now that people write about everything in one place, it makes it hard.

Google vs Bing

If you haven't heard of Microsoft's new search engine Bing, it is alive and working (from what I've used). I haven't used it a whole lot but it seems to be pretty much the same as Google but with a prettier splash page.

I would say Google is still the man, it knows me way better than the Bing.

The only thing I may give to Bing is its "Bird's Eye" view on the maps. It's not as creepy as Google's street level. You should check it out.
