As we were sitting down to dinner the other night something hit me.... there was something different. It wasn't until I thought long and hard about it, did I realize what it was. There is no longer a communication barrier between the kids and Nate and I. Henry and Zoey can tell us what they want, what they mean, and can accurately tell us what they are talking about. There is no longer a guessing game, and that makes a huge difference.
Okay, so we understand them at all times, and they understand us, but that doesn't mean that we are able to reason with them all the time - yet. But it is so fun to have actual conversations with your kids!! They can tell us what they did at school, they can describe their feelings, and they can tell us what they want when they want it. Such a concept!
Speaking of conversations, I wish I could say they were having a great conversation here, how Zoey had a wonderful day, and that she loves spending time with the men in her life, but really, she just wanted the hammock to herself and was telling (and pushing) them to get off. (We are still working on sharing)
Painting...
More vegetables from our garden... they are fans.
